The Go-Getters are Going Out: A Networking Event for Saint John's Up and Coming Business Owners

Join us for our annual entrepreneurship celebration, a chance for all aspiring and existing business owners to meet one another, exchange ideas and network. This year's event features an Oddballs and Off-the-Walls wine tasting, hosted by Craig Pinhey.

Business Competitions

Business Pitch Competition
Tuesday, March 30th, 6-9 p.m.

The competition will be headquartered at Bourbon Quarter and Magnolia Cafe, 122 Prince William Street. Every five minutes a long, black limousine will pull up at the door. One competitor will jump out, and another will step inside. People who enter the competition will have two minutes to pitch their business idea to the investors in the back of a limo while it drives around the block.  They will also have a few minutes to answer critical questions from the investors. Judges have $1000 to invest in the winning competitor(s). 

Enterprise Saint John’s Emerging Entrepreneurs program is organizing the event and it is designed as an opportunity for people to practice pitching their business ideas to potential investors.

Want to start a business? Need a plan? Learn what goes into a winning business plan, from marketing analyses to cash flow forecasts. Participants may use this seminar to prepare for the Business Plan Competition.

Submit your business plan for a chance to win $4000. Finalists will present their plan to a judging panel.

Arts Entrepreneurship Workshop: Marketing and Self-Promotion with Artist Peter Powning

The Emerging Entrepreneurs Program at Enterprise Saint John presents this interactive seminar on visual arts and craft with special guest speaker Peter Powning. Take this opportunity to hone your entrepreneurial skills as Peter discusses topics like marketing, the black arts of self-promotion, portfolio management, how to approach galleries, ideas about organization, and career management. Bring your questions and ideas on arts entrepreneurship and brainstorm with one of New Brunswick’s most renowned and experienced artists.
